Return/Refund Policy

All sales are final.

Why, you might ask?

You can’t return shellfish, silly!

Having said that, occasionally things happen. Situations sometimes require we replace product damaged in transit or if the incorrect item was shipped. Depending on the situation we may send replacement product or issue a one-time use promotional code good for the full or partial value of the product damaged/missing for application towards future orders.

Make sure you inspect your product upon delivery and let us know via the form on this page (it's titled "Complain About Something") if there is an issue, to include uploading an image of the damage if applicable. We must hear from you the same day the product is delivered to be eligible for compensation regarding product damage. Packages should be inspected upon delivery.

There are a few things we do not issue refunds for:

  • Inability to shuck properly
  • Harmless, naturally occurring environmental factors
  • Incorrect address provided or delivery refusal
  • Late delivery due to incorrect address or customer input error
  • Failure to open, inspect, and properly store your order upon delivery (which often results in melted gel packs and inedible seafood)

We will not assume any responsibility for seafood that becomes inedible due to a failure to follow instructions (in the package or on our website) by recipient, nor any lost or stolen packages once the package is delivered.

Note: it is rare that our product counts run short or that our products arrive damaged. We’re going to know if you’re trying to hustle us and we will not be here for it.

We stand behind the products we sell, and look forward to getting them to you soon!

Looking to cancel or reschedule your order? You must inform us via e-mail at retail@clamandoyster.com at least 24 hours prior to the day your order is due to ship or be picked-up. After that time, we cannot promise your request will be honored. Any orders that are already packed when cancellation is requested will be charged a $30 restocking fee due to product traceability requirements, and materials and labor required to execute the request.

Again, there are a few things we absolutely don't offer compensation for: inability to shuck oysters properly, harmless, naturally occurring environmental factors, or if you don't inspect the package upon delivery and by the time you get to it your gel packs are melted because it sat outside all day. And ask nicely, no one likes a jerk.
