These are grown on the historic Watch House Point oyster grounds located on the southern tip of the Eastern Shore of Virginia near the Atlantic Ocean. This area is known for its beautiful waters and great tasting shellfish. These are great roasting oysters, as their shells can be difficult to open for the novice shucker.

How They're Grown: Environmental factors dictate these be grown in rack-and-bag systems. These are more 'old school' than the floating cages we utilize for some of our other oyster types, but it's a tried and true way to make sure this particular oyster variety grows just right!

Flavor Profile: salty with hints of cucumber and melon

Salinity: medium

Average Size: 3"

Try them with: your favorite hot sauce

Pairs well with: a pilsner or crisp sauvignon blanc

*Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of food-borne illness.
