Coincidentally, Bubba grew up in a small seaside village known as Oyster, VA. He spent most of his youth there, where he learned from the hardworking seaside oystermen who trained him up right. Bubba joined Cherrystone Aqua-Farms in his teens working on a field crew and initially only grew clams. Over the last 20+ years he worked his way up to a Field Manager, and when Cherrystone Aqua-Farms evolved and developed a farm raised oyster division Bubba took the lead and molded it into the program it is today.

He and his team strive for perfection, which is why we can deliver such high-quality products.

Although he’s devoted his life to raising bivalves, somewhere in his busy schedule he also manages to give back to his community as well. He’s an active member of the local volunteer fire department and everyone knows he’s the man to call if a community member is in need.

All that and a family man, as he is passionate about spending quality time with his family.
